Day 1: Arrival in Arunachal Pradesh
Arrive at the Lohit Valley Airport in Arunachal Pradesh.
Transfer to the hotel in Tezu, the headquarters of Lohit district. Check-in and relax after the journey. Welcome dinner and tour briefing in the evening.
Day 2: Tezu Exploration
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Parashuram Kund, a sacred pilgrimage site, known for its mythological significance. Explore the local markets and interact with the indigenous people. Overnight stay in Tezu.
Day 3: Drive to Dirang
Depart from Tezu after breakfast. Drive through picturesque landscapes to reach Dirang. En route, visit the Sela Pass and Sela Lake, offering stunning mountain views. Arrive in Dirang, check-in to the hotel.
Enjoy a leisurely evening in the charming town.
Day 4: Dirang Adventure
After breakfast, go for a nature walk to the Dirang Dzong (fortress) and hot springs. Explore the traditional villages and interact with the Monpa tribe. Optional: Visit the Yak Research Center. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 5: Tawang Excursion
Depart for Tawang after breakfast, a scenic drive through the Himalayas. Visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial and pay homage to the brave soldiers. Reach Tawang, check-in to the hotel. Explore the local market and unwind. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 6: Tawang Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India. Explore the Urgelling Monastery, birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Experience the stunning views of the Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake). If time permits, visit the Bumla Pass, Indo-China border. Return to Tawang for the last night’s stay.
Day 7: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and depart for the Tawang Airport.
