🌿 Kaziranga Tour Itinerary

📍 Day 1: Arrival at Kaziranga

  • Arrive at Jorhat (nearest airport) or Guwahati (larger airport – 220 km away).

  • Transfer to Kaziranga by road (approx. 4–5 hrs from Guwahati).

  • Check-in at a jungle lodge or resort.

  • Evening: Explore nearby tea gardens or take a village walk.

  • Overnight Stay at Kaziranga.


🐘 Day 2: Wildlife Safaris in Kaziranga

Kaziranga is divided into zones: Central (Kohora), Western (Bagori), Eastern (Agaratoli), and Burapahar. Most tours focus on Central and Western zones.

🚩 Morning:

  • Elephant Safari (starts around 5:30–6:30 AM)

    • Best for spotting rhinos up close in the grasslands.

    • Takes 1 hour, must be booked in advance.

🍳 Breakfast at hotel/resort

🚩 Afternoon:

  • Jeep Safari (Central or Western Zone)

    • Timings: ~2:00–4:30 PM

    • Good chance to see rhinos, elephants, wild buffalo, swamp deer, and birds.

    • Camera fee may be applicable.

🌇 Evening:

  • Visit Kaziranga Orchid Park for cultural performances and local cuisine.

  • Optional: Assamese folk music and dance in the evening.

  • Overnight Stay at Kaziranga.


🌾 Day 3: Local Sightseeing or Departure

Options:

  • Visit Ethnic Village or Tea Garden Tour.

  • Explore the Agaratoli Zone (less crowded, good for birdwatching).

  • Depart for Guwahati or Jorhat.

  • By Air: Jorhat Airport (~97 km), Guwahati Airport (~220 km)

  • By Train: Furkating Junction (~75 km)

  • By Road: Well-connected by NH-37.
