Day 1 -Shimla to Sangla
Early in the morning, arrive in Chandigarh, and meet a representative who will give you a brief rundown of the tour. Beginning your adventure, pass through dense Deodar woods, beautiful valley vistas, snow-capped high peaks, and swiftly moving rivers.
After that, you’ll follow the Sutlej River until you reach Karcham, where you’ll turn right and follow the Baspa River until Sangla.
Sangla, which has a sizable Buddhist population and is surrounded by expansive forests and apple and cherry orchards, is home to a number of Buddhists. Dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Sangla.
Day 2 – Excursion to Chitkul and Transfer to Kalpa
Enjoy a great breakfast in the early sunshine before setting out on a trip to Chitkul. The last town before the Indo-China border is Chitkul, where you can also enjoy a delicious supper at the renowned “Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba.”
Return to Sangla after enjoying Chitkul’s splendour. Once you have checked out of the hotel, return to Karcham and continue deeper down the valley towards Powari. Take a left at Powari and ride to ReoKong Peo, the district’s principal town, from which you can continue to Kalpa.Spend the night in the lovely Kalpa village, which has a view of the Kinnaur Kailash peaks. Staying the night at a camp or homestay in Kalpa.
Day 3 – Kalpa to Tabo via Nako
You will depart for Nako after an early-morning meal, travelling via the lovely Spiti Valley. You will travel down the Indo-Tiber Highway and cross the Khab Bridge, which is where the Satluj and Spiti Rivers converge.
After a brief lunch break at Nako Lake, continue on and immediately after crossing Sumdo, you will be in the Spiti Valley. Visit the 500-Year-Old Mummy in the Gue Village by taking a diversion on the right via the gate at 3 km after Sumdo. Then you’ll head over to Tabo.
In a Tabo hotel for the night.
Day 4 – Excursion to Dhankar and Transfer to Lahlung
Following a sumptuous breakfast, you will travel to Lahlung in the Kinnaur Valley. Take a brief diversion to the right along the journey to explore the tiny hamlet of Dhankar, which is positioned high above the meeting point of the Spiti and Pin Rivers. If you have the time, climb an hour above the settlement to the gorgeous turquoise Dhankar Tso or Dhankar Lake to take in the breathtaking views of the valley. Then, you’ll continue on your journey towards Lahlung, another tiny settlement in the Spiti Valley.
Stay the night in a hotel or homestay in Lahlung.
Day 5 – Excursion to Pin Valley and Transfer to Kaza
After breakfast, you’ll begin your drive to the picturesque Pin Valley.
Imagine a national park that is home to a variety of unique plants, animals, and birds, as well as a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and opportunities for trekking for thrill-seekers. All of this and more is promised by the Pin Valley.The Kungri Monastery will be your first stop, followed by the lovely Mudh hamlet, the last motorable community in the Pin Valley.Pin Valley, which was designated a national park in 1987, is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards as well as other native species such the Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, and marten.As you go through the stunning Pin Valley, birds like the pika, griffon, golden eagle, bearded vulture, Chukor, and Raven will be painting the skies with lovely scenes.The following evening, you will go to Kaza.Kaza overnight stay.
Day 6 – Sightseeing in Kaza
After an early breakfast, venture outside to discover Kaza’s breathtaking splendour.Visit the tourist attractions in the area, such as the Key Gompa Monastery in the Spiti Valley’s little settlement of Langza, which is tucked between two mountains in a bowl-shaped valley.The highest hamlet in the world, Komic hamlet, which is close by, is higher than Langza, which is situated at a whopping elevation of roughly 14,500 feet above sea level. Langza is also one of the highest communities in the world with a motorable road.A settlement called Hikkim may be found in the Spiti district, adjacent to Kaza, which is one of the highest places in India where people live year-round.after touring the lovely villages of Komik, Hikkim, and Langza.To spend the night, go back to your hotel in Kaza.
Day 7 – Kaza to Chandratal via Kunzum La
After breakfast, you will travel to the lovely Chandratal Lake, which has the shape of a crescent. You will turn right before Baltal after traversing Kunzum La in order to visit Chandratal Lake.You must leave your car behind and walk for two kilometres to get to the lake, but the scenery is breathtaking. Due to its crescent form, the lake, which is located in the Spiti section of the Lahaul and Spiti province, is also known as the “Moon Lake.” Mountains on one side and a cirque on the other overlook it. The lake sparkles under the starlit sky after dusk, adding to its allure. Enjoy dinner and a night of camping close to Chandratal.
Day 8 – Chandratal Lake to Manali via Rohtang
You’ll be leaving the Spiti Valley today as you go towards Manali. You will pass across the Rohtang Pass en route, arriving in Manali around sunset.Your fantastic trip to the Spiti Valley comes to an end once you arrive at Manali.
