This morning drive to Pushkar, covering an approximate distance of 325 kilometers (6 hour drive). On arrival check in at your hotel.
Later take a tour of Pushkar, the main attraction of Pushkar from where you can start your sightseeing trip is the enchanting Jagatpita Brahma Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma – the creator god of Hindus. It is believed that out of the few temples of Lord Brahma existing in the world, this one is the most significant. Breakfast at hotel (Buffet / Fixed Menu) This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Udaipur combines seamless beauty with a great and glorious past. It stands in a valley, amidst green hills on the banks of the wide, steel blue Lake Pichola. Visit City Palace, a conglomeration of buildings added by the ruling Maharanas through the ages. Despite this, the palace manages to retain a surprising uniformity of design. Visit the Crystal Gallery located at the City Palace which has a rare collection of Osler’s crystal ordered from England by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1877. In the evening enjoy a boat cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola.
From the boat, view the city of Udaipur rise majestically above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan desert. Also visit the Jag Mandir Palace,an unforgettable sight on an island in Lake Pichola, built by Maharana Karan Singhji in 1622 as a pleasure palace for royal parties and functions. En route visit Ranakpur Temples, some of the most exquisite Jain temples in the country famous for their intricate friezes and sculptures, and is one of the holiest Jain sites in India. On arrival check in at your hotel. Jodhpur, once the capital of the former princely state of Marwar. It was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha and is now the second largest city of Rajasthan. The graceful palaces, forts and temples bring alive the city’s historic grandeur, while the exquisite handicrafts, folk dances, music and the brightly attired locals lend a romantic aura to the city. Breakfast at hotel (Buffet / Fixed Menu) Later enjoy an excursion to the magnificent Amber Fort. The fortified palace was the capital of the state of Jaipur until 1728. The fort is a blend of Mughal and Rajput style of architecture. Tour the chambers and hallways of the palace, which are famous for their unparalleled design and decoration, including the spectacular “Hall of Mirrors”. Next on your itinerary will be Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills , overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort , Nahargarh once formed a strong defence ring for the city. The fort was originally named Sudershangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means ‘abode of tigers’. The popular belief is that Nahar here stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia, whose spirit haunted the place and obstructed construction of the fort. Nahar’s spirit was pacified by building a temple in his memory within the fort, which thus became known by his name.Later enjoy an orientation tour of Jaipur. Visit City Palace and its museum which has a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury of the Mughals and Rajputs, including swords, antiques and artifacts. Proceed to Jantar Mantar, a stone-made astrological and astronomical observatory which was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th century. Enjoy a cycle-rickshaw ride in the colourful bazaars of the old city. Later, visit Hawa Mahal or the “Palace of the Winds”. It is perhaps the most-photographed façade in Jaipur. Its ornately carved windows were designed so that the ladies of the palace could look out onto the streets unobserved.There is also time to shop for Jaipur blue pottery and block-printed cottons and linens. Remainder of the day will be at leisure for independent activities. Jaipur is famous for souvenirs – Don’t forget to buy some for your friends and family.Today on time you will be driven to Jaipur for connecting your onward
